Our Commitment to Marine Conservation

Founded in 2002, the Marine Awareness and Conservation Society (MACS) is a student-led organization at the University of Arizona dedicated to protecting marine ecosystems through public outreach events, philanthropy, and the promotion of scientific discovery, advocacy, and solutions. Open to students of all majors, MACS welcomes anyone interested in the ocean, conservation, or general environmentalism. Whether members are looking to pursue a career in environmental science, or looking for a community that cares about our oceans, MACS offers a home in the desert to make a difference.
