MACS is a student-run organization at the University of Arizona dedicated to marine conservation and education.

MACS promotes the importance of marine conservation through outreach, educational experiences, and career growth opportunities in the conservation field.

MACS was founded in 2002 by then president Ben Tudor after the marine science program was discontinued by the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology. Since then, it has served as a home for many EEB students who plan to work in marine science, as well as students from other majors who just want to see our oceans thrive.
